| The safety shower (also called deluge shower) is located near an exit in every lab. When the triangular handle is pulled downward, a large volume of water pours out of the shower in a short amount of time. The safety shower is used when a student spills large volumes of hazardous materials on him- or herself. The safety shower should only be used in an emergency. |
