| Our burners use natural gas, which comes out of gas jets on the bench top. Most gas jets have a four-pronged knob. Be sure to turn the knob clockwise all the way to turn off the gas at the end of lab. Some jets in the hood have a handle to turn gas on and off. When the handle is perpendicular to the gas line, the gas is off. When the handle is parallel to the gas line, the gas is on. |
