Robotics: R&D Projects

To provide the most relevant and meaningful experience possible, students can pursue R&D projects through the Robotics Club or branch out into entrepreneurship through instructor-led projects. The following R&D projects are of current interest:

πŸ”Ž Underwater ROV’s for Environmental Monitoring. References:

πŸ”Ž  Uncrewed Ground Vehicles for use in ADA compliance of sidewalks in support of people with disabilities that use assistive walking/transport devices.

πŸ”Ž  Life-size build of R2-D2 (from Star Wars).

Future R&D projects that are in discussion of being pursued:

  • 3D-Printed CubeSats for Soil Moisture Measurements of California Wildlands
  • 3D-Printed Prosthetics (Arms and Legs)
  • Hospitality & Mental Health Support Robot
  • Robot Security Droid
  • The Package (All-In-One Orbiter, Lander, and Rover)
  • Exoskeleton
