Sociology

Our sociology program introduces students to major sociological concepts and perspectives to study groups of people, both small and large, and how they interact. Students learn research methods and data analysis to analyze sociological problems and to consider how the individual is shaped by interactions with social groups. Students can earn an Associate in Arts for Transfer (AA-T) degree and transfer to a four-year university to prepare for careers in fields, such as teaching, research, social work, public relations, and counseling.
