Video/Film Associate of Arts (AA) Degree

The El Camino film/video degree is a great start into the exciting entertainment and communications industries. Meet most common transfer requirements.

• Learn key components of digital film and video production such as lighting, editing, photography, scripting, and audio from experts in the field.
• Analyze film and television texts with attention to form and content, aesthetics and meaning, and history and culture.
• Access hands-on production classes with elective courses in cinematography, editing, production planning, and story development.
• Tell your own story through screenwriting or learn the elements of media writing and communications scripts.
• Operate production equipment to produce and edit short films.

Video/Film Production Certificate of Achievement

A certificate from the El Camino film/video program can lead to work in entertainment and communications. You’ll gain both theoretical and practical knowledge in film/video production, scriptwriting, and media aesthetics.

• Learn to write, shoot, and edit short films or videos.
• Take courses in cinematography, editing, production planning, and television production.
• Practice important skills necessary for operating various film, video, and digital production equipment.
• Build a foundation in production principles, with an emphasis on scripting, planning, directing, editing, and other audio/video media skills.
